Dr. Kanitkar completed her Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Wayne State University, Detroit MI. Her Residency was completed at Louisiana State University Department of Medicine in Shreveport, LA. Dr Kanitkar received her Masters in Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston Texas. She completed her medical school training at Maharashtra University in Nashik, India graduating in 2008.
Dr. Kanitkar is proficient in performing procedures for diagnosis and management of lung cancer including Bronchoscopy, EBUS bronchoscopy, transbronchial biopsy, brush biopsy, bronchial lavage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and other critical care procedures. She manages pulmonary inpatient and clinic outpatients for various pulmonary conditions.
